We are taught as young Dragons that the way of the Samurai is a desperate path, but one Samurai is worth twenty average men. The graduates of Dragon Gate ‘Toryumon’ are proof that the Samurai spirits of yesterday still walk the earth today.
With the creation of a new promotion being the first part of my exam, the second part came in the way of wresting training.
I looked to the local boys who had helped me in the past and I asked myself, which one of them deserves just 5% of what Ultimo Dragon has taught me? Out of the handful of guys I tested, ‘Carter Mason’ made it the furthest. I subjected ‘Carter’ to a year and a half of traditional Japanese wrestling training and he both passed and failed in his work.
As the first student of Osiris, I give ‘Carter’ his pass. But with that said, he is not a Toryumon graduate.
Ask yourself, as a fan or ‘pro’ wrestler who may follow ‘Carter Mason’, is he doing better or worse in his career a year and a half into my training?
So after 9 years of training under Ultimo Dragon, and completing my final exam, how did the master of Dragon Gate ‘Toryumon’ grade me?
