Okada was just a young boy when he made his Canadian wrestling debut, however, after watching him wrestle, fans in attendance soon realized he was an old soul in wrestling. We hope when you view this match the same feeling comes to you as it did for those who witnessed this memorable event live.

If I could take 5 UWA matches with me to another planet, this match would be one of them. I personally call very few things a masterpiece, but this match is just that. It is everything I love about wrestling.

When UWA first scouted Johnny Gargano in Cleveland, Ohio, he was training out of a small basement gym under the guidance of J.T. Lightning. There was something different about him that immediately set him apart from the rest of the guys. Not long after, he made his Canadian debut on this very important UWA event, ‘Resurrection’.

The event, ‘Resurrection’, on January 18, 2008, featured this and many other incredible matches as UWA returned after a short hiatus for their first show at Downsview Park in Toronto.
