I think it was late 2007 when my brother proclaimed to me that he had found a ‘sick’ wrestler. He had excitement in his voice, and I remember a good feeling coming over me. I ran into the kitchen and there he was on my laptop screen, Jonathan Gresham.

I wanted to use him at that point, but knew in my heart that UWA was going on hiatus for a while, so I decided to save him. As the years went on, people would come to me and say things like, ‘you’re a lot like Jonathan Gresham’, or ‘Jonathan Gresham says the exact same thing’. In 2014 I decided to get back in contact with him to see how alike we really were. As it turns outs, there are definitely many similarities between us.

Jonathan Gresham’s match against Cheech on February 7th is dedicated to my brother Joe, who did in fact book it back in 2007. I’m not going to take credit for it as my own. I believe that this match will be nothing short of wrestling poetry. By the end of it, as with gladiators in the ring, you will feel the sweat pouring down your face as you scream out for more.
