Around 2004 when I first met ‘Corey Mason’, some people would snicker when they said his name. As they’d snicker, I’d usually look around to see Mason setting up chairs or working on the ring. At the end of the day, one ‘Corey Mason’ is worth 50 of you, and by ‘you’ I mean those who snickered.

Alex Shelley and I have a lot in common, as we both seek professionals to work with. He is one of the few I would still call a friend in wrestling. With that said, who did Alex Shelley choose to warm up with out of my original young boys? Yes, ‘Corey Mason’. He knew, as I did, that Mason was the standout.

‘Corey Mason’ went on to train with another wrestler whom I respect named ‘Johnny Divine’. And now after years have come and gone, the 15 year old boy I once knew returns a man.
